Practical experience
You can earn credits for practical experiences that are closely related to the Master's programme you have chosen. These activities can be paid or unpaid. Working at an institute or research institute does not qualify.
Performance
You must be able to take full credit for the work done. To gain one credit, you must complete at least three times the number of hours as a normal course credit. One course credit is equivalent to 30 working hours, meaning that one practice credit requires a minimum of 90 working hours. You must complete at least three credits in the practical experience you have chosen.
Conditions
Practical experience can be recognised as long as the project was carried out during or no more than a year before beginning your Master’s degree course. We require that before starting your practical experience, you already have a recognised Bachelor's degree or at least an equivalent qualification. HSG students must satisfy the criteria for the awarding of a Bachelor's degree.
Crediting
A maximum of six credits can be credited (as a result, three, four, five or six credits can be awarded). These credits are not graded. First priority is given to practice credits in the area of Leadership Skills, and second priority is given to elective course offerings (with the exception of MLE – Law and Economics: first priority is given to Leaderships Skills and second to the appropriate electives).
